3. Pornography
It is considered prohibited under the Postal Act because it is immoral. In addition, some pornographic materials qualify as wrong. The Act also deals with cultural order.
4. Explosive/flammable
Explosives and flammable materials such as firecrackers, fireworks, gas cans may be exposed to heat, shock, moisture during transportation, resulting in chemical reactions that can cause an explosion.
5. Sharp objects without enclosures
Sharp objects such as knives, cutlery, axes that are not properly wrapped are prohibited items because they can harm both the courier staff and the recipient.
6. Banknotes
This is because banknotes are a high-value item. Especially if it is a bundle of banknotes, it is worth tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands. If it is lost or damaged during transportation, it may cause a litigation dispute.
7. Pirated items
Not only can the recipient be punished by law, but the sender may also be punishable for copyright infringement.
The main requirements of the Land Transport Act B.E. 2522 (1979) that transport service providers must comply with are as follows.
- The transport operator must obtain proper permission from the registrar.
- The transport operator must not use the wrong type of vehicle for transportation.
- Must comply with the conditions specified in the transport license, such as the number of vehicles used for transportation, vehicle characteristics.
- A vehicle identification book and a report on transportation must be prepared.
- The driver must not drive the transport vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
